A lot can change in a few months. For humans, anyway. For this human, life looks very different as we begin 2023. I’m in a new job at the Illinois Power Agency, helping the team procure electricity cheaply, deploy wind and solar projects across the state, and look out for what’s next on the horizon for clean power. The job has an actual office with a large team of fellow humans living in my city, which is a nice change and very energizing. And the pandemic’s ebbs and flows have people moving on to talk about what’s next: what’s beyond COVID life? How will cities bounce back? What will happen in Ukraine?
This newfound energy and change in the Discourse has me excited to engage and put my ideas down. Here are some of the topics I’m working on:
How gaming can wipe out 50-90% of your real-life productivity
What does “networking” even mean anymore
Searching for and landing a job with a purpose
2022 update on hardcore volunteering for a political organization
How to make a hit podcast overnight
What can one person actually do to fight climate change
Being a GTD practitioner on a Windows machine for the first time since 2010
The top 30 podcasts I listen to
How to remember everyone’s kids’ names if you yourself don’t have kids
What is the good life?
That’s a good list off the top of my head tonight. Posting frequency this year will be at least once a month. Let’s go get ‘em.
